About Plumbers Raymond Terrace

The plumbing locals for the 1837 river town

Raymond Terrace is where we work and where most of our jobs land. This is Port Stephens' administrative centre, a river town of about 13,453 people at the last census, spread across 40.5 square kilometres.

The ground under it varies. Heritage streets, post-war rings and newer estates each bring their own pipework, and every job gets quoted before anything starts.

How we work on every job

The deal is the same whether the job is a choked drain or a full bathroom reno.

$0 call out

Getting us to your door costs nothing. You pay for work you approve, not for the drive.

Quote first

The price is agreed before a tool comes out. What you approve is what you pay.

Licensed and compliant

Every job is done by licensed plumbers, to standard, with the paperwork that goes with it.

Made right, no questions asked

If something isn't up to standard afterwards, we come back and make it right.

Same-day service happens where the schedule allows. If a burst pipe or an overflowing toilet cannot wait, say so on the call and we will tell you straight what we can do.

What we carry on the truck

The run covers the full plumbing trade, so the gear goes on before we leave.

  • Blocked drains, sewers and stormwater, cleared and camera-checked
  • Hot water repair, replacement and new installs
  • General repairs, bathrooms, kitchens and toilet work
  • Gas fitting, leak detection and water meter jobs

If you want the detail, the emergency plumbing, general plumbing, drainage and hot water pages each break down what is covered and when to call.

A town with its own plumbing history

Working here means working with what the rivers and the years have left behind. The town was devastated in the 1955 Hunter Valley flood and its lowest streets went under again in the 2007 storms, so flood-adjacent work is part of the local trade.

The housing stock tells the same story.

Much of it went up from the 1960s onward, and the galvanised supply and ageing hot water units that came with it still turn up on the daily run.

The climate plays its part too.

Around 1,023 millimetres of rain falls in an average year, and when an east coast low stalls over the catchment, the old drainage core cops it. Winter fogs and the occasional frost morning finish off hot water systems that were already marginal.

We are not the town's historians. But we have dug enough of its pipework to respect it.
